The bed cushions remains on the bed when the roof is closed.

The lifting bed is a special feature of this sleeping roof. It consists of a GRM frame, a single-piece poplar plywood laying surface and a gas spring lift.
If the bed is not used, it can be easily lifted up under the roof shell where it requires little space. The bed cushions remain on the bed which can just as easily be returned to the sleeping position.

No problems with clearance heights – driving features unchanged – provides extreme flexibility and recreational value – erection mechanism with one hand locking: super flat – erectable at the front.
Vehicle height with closed roof: 1.99 m (+/- 2 cm). The GRM bed frame ends in the front in an integrated front spoiler. The tent bellows has a sewn-in flap mechanism. It prevents the tent bellows getting jammed when the roof is closed. Convenient central lock with strong, external locking blocks. Lining extractable from the laying area for access opening. The tent material disappears under this lining when the roof is closed.

The roof is designed for the long and short wheel base and is available as mountable at the front or back. There is also a roof variant offered without single hand locking and without the extractable aluminium lining. This roof is closed with belts.

Alternatively a high roof with solid GRM shell and insulation can be set up. The high roof shells are available with bed and an interior height of 212 cm for the long wheel base and without bed with an interior height of 192 cm for the short wheel base.

We offer the following accessories: multi-rail left and right as rain gutter substitute to attach to a sun canvas or awning. Roof racks up to a roof load of 60 kg. Solar units on the structure roof to charge the battery. Second battery for additional consumers such as cool box, laptop. TV, additional light etc., 220V unit with charger for starter and supply battery. Circulating air auxiliary heating, kitchen and furniture module.

Our roofs can be added to all VW T5 variants. Installation is also possible for vehicles with airbags in the rear passenger section.
