Different and practical: Modular Mobile Travel System for the T5

Our aim was to enhance the use of your VW T5 by one variant.
During the week you drive your vehicle for business or privately with maximum load volume
…at the weekend you convert the T5 into a fully-fledged mobile home within just a few minutes!

"Fully-fledged" for us means:

• Cooking – inside or outside
• Eating – at the integrated folding table – inside or outside
• Cooling – in massive cool box with 31 or alternatively 40 l volume
• Rinsing and washing - with 19 l fresh water reserves
• Sleeping - comfortable and original California folding bench
• integrated camping toilet
• easily handable
• extremely lightweight, but nonetheless maximally firm and robust
• maximum storage space, accessible at all times

The arrangement consists of two seperated modules: the variable kitchen-module, which is positioned right behind the driver seat, and the cupboard with huge stowage space at the rear end of the car.

We safed weight as much as we could, but nonetheless granting a high value of stability and robustness. By this means the doors, the drawers and the coverings are made of aluminium-PE composite material, which is utterly solid and pretty lightweight at the same time. With a weight of possibly record-breaking 19 or 16 kg (!) the modules are easily handable and in a case of need bearable by one person.

And just as fast as you have converted your T5 into a motorhome, you can convert it back to a normal van in no time at all. Furniture and fittings are only in the vehicle when actually needed. This saves fuel and therefore ensures your T5, and your investment, is more efficient thanks to individual usability.

The main idea behind this development of a modular furniture system was guaranteeing fast and simple installation and removal. The only tool you need is an Allen key. After untightening just five screws, both modules can be quickly removed.

You can enhance your system with some very useful components. They can be retrofitted at any time.
If you have no sleeping roof in your T5 and/or wish to use the seat bench for sleeping, we provide a bedspread as a useful addition. This can be folded up and locked into position. Or completely removed.
In the rear roof rack with its practical allround elastic net you can store all sorts of light luggage such as clothes, cushions etc. This accessory does not impair your rear view.

The huge cool box with almost 31 l volume can be easily removed and the resultant space also used as storage space. You only need to take the cool box with you, if you really need it. The camping stove is also removable and can be used outside.

This innovative principle is based on the VW California Beach (T5) as of year of construction 2003. We have quite deliberately taken the California Beach as a base vehicle because this already has a range of ideal preconditions ex works. NEW: The system is now optimized for the model year 2011!
For example, we use the existing rail system on the vehicle floor included in this series model, to brace our furniture systems. Also, the twin seat/sleeping bench (usually included) provides ideal sleeping or seating comfort and the best safety standard.
You can of course equip any other T5 with our modular system, though adjustment work may then be required.
